Express Solutions Program – SCE offers a variety of standardized rebates for installation of various energy-saving measures in commercial account facilities. We at GEI utilize the best solution codes to lower or even eliminate the cost of installation so that you, the customer, will immediately see savings to your business revenue and expand your operations as quickly as possible.

Customized Solutions Program – For measures that are not covered by standard solutions, SCE provides the opportunitffery to receive funds administered by the California Public Utilities Commission for each kWh and peak kW saved per upgrade or replacement. In short, GEI takes advantage of the potential reduction in kWh usage for your facility to receive significant compensation for installation work. This, in conjunction with the Express Solutions Program, allows us to provide cost-effective and attractive solutions to your electricity use.

Energy Efficiency Business Rebates – San Diego Gas & Electric (SDGE) is currently offering a program called Energy Efficiency Business Rebates (EEBR). This program assists eligible business customers through rebates for installing energy efficient lighting. Installing qualified equipment can help reduce energy consumption and operating expenses. The installed lights must be in place of the existing fixtures following the one-for-one policy.

In order to qualify for this program, customers must have the commercial rate applied on their utility bills which means that residential customers do not apply for this project. The facility should not have received any lighting rebates with the same scope of work within the past 5 years. Due to the popularity and time sensitivity of this program, approved customers are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

Deemed Rebate Program – Similar to most other utility companies, PG&E offers a set of standardized rebates for common solutions to your energy efficiency issues. These “deemed savings” offer considerable financial incentives for your businesses to upgrade its lighting systems. One of our main target solutions is converting your outdated 2ft by 4ft troffer (or panel) fixtures typically found on a standard drop-down (or grid) ceiling.

Customized Rebate Program – In today’s world, there are a variety of new and cutting edge technologies emerging to fit your unique energy needs. To help this, PG&E offers a customized program for solutions that are not covered by its deemed savings program. By using the kWh and peak kW demand saved per measure, considerable discounts on your non-traditional energy efficiency upgrades can be made.

Commercial Lighting Incentives Program – the City of Los Angeles offers funds for lighting measures on a per kWh basis. There are no “standard” rebates with a fixed rebate amount for upgrading to LEDs with LADWP and this program provides incentives for replacing significantly outdated lighting systems.

Food Services Program – LADWP offers a variety of fixed amount rebates as well as per kWh reduced funds for numerous equipment typically found in the food industry. These upgrades range from kitchen hood controls, walk-in cooler EC motors, and other mechanical systems that consume a significant amount of energy per year. Taking advantage of these rebates can help reduce your facility’s inefficient electric consumption while reducing the initial capital required for costly upgrades.

Business Energy Solutions – GWP offers medium and large businesses incentives for completing pre-approved energy saving projects. Qualified commercial accounts are eligible to receive up to $50,000 in funding within a fiscal year. The amount paid is dependent on the kWh reduction that is determined through various energy audits and analysis of the existing technologies and proposed upgrades. Incentives for approved retrofit projects are limited to 20% of the eligible project cost or 100% of the incremental costs necessary to bring a remodeling above the California Title 24 code.

Medium and large businesses are defined as commercial electric accounts with monthly bills exceeding $3,000.

Many major utilities offer the option of financing upgrade projects through a customer’s utility bill. As long as the accounts associated with the facility are in good standing and have not had negative history, the entire project cost (to a certain maximum) can be financed and loaned for work that we do for you. These OBF projects also use the various incentives and rebates already available to lower the financing amount and reduce how much is loaned for the project. With multiple required calculations, the objective of these projects is to lower your utility bill with significant savings so that the added monthly payment will NOT exceed your current amount. It is crucial to remember that OBF is a LOAN and NOT “free money”; the project cost must be paid back.

For customers who do not have sufficient account history with their utility provider or have already taken advantage of similar programs within the previous 5 years, alternative financing options are available for use. Through the use of private lenders who offer low or no interest rates, minimal taxes, and swift payment, your project can be completely financed without the nuances of time delays, account verifications, and numerous documentation. With a minimal application fee and credit check, your project can be approved and ready to go in less than a week. If your business is on a tight time schedule and cannot wait months for utilities to respond to inspection and calculation requests, we would recommend the use of this option.
